Felix was born in Munich. After finishing his military services he studied industrial engineering in the field of mechanical engineering, particular in production engineering and systems technology at the Technical University Carolo Wilhelmina in Braunschweig/ Germany. He completed his skills by studying business administration in the field of corporate management and marketing as well intellectual property and copyright law.

After completing his university studies he deepened his technical skills in the area of fiber composite industry and therewith relating products and production processes while practicing for several years in the research and development department of a large German company acting in the international formula one motor sport. Felix's particular technical knowledge lies in the range of automation of processing, computerized manufacturing, quality assurance, technical design and product engineering. Furthermore, he has special knowledge in engineer-like activities like technical business management.

He started his career in Intellectual Property in 2001 at a German IP firm located in Munich. After passing the German and European Patent Attorneys Examination and finishing his legal studies at the University of Hagen/ Germany he became partner of Grosse Schumacher Knauer von Hirschhausen (GSKH). His professional focus lies in achieving and defending patents, utility models, designs and trademarks as well as in national and international oppositions and nullity actions. His special interest lies in performing infringement analysis and enforcement of national and international IP rights.

He is an authorized representative before the German Patent and Trademark Office, the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), the German Federal Patent Court and is admitted to the German Federal Supreme Court in patent nullity actions.

Felix is a member of the association of German industrial engineers (VWI), the German association for intellectual property rights (GRUR), the Fédération Internationale des Conseils en Propriété Industrielle (FICPI), the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI), the International Trademark Association (INTA) and the Licensing Executives Society (LES).
