| Dr. Simon Poxleitner studied chemistry
at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität (LMU) in Munich with a focus on materials science and
organic chemistry. Before completing his degree as a chemist, he did research in the
field of organometallic synthesis during a stay at the Universidade de Santiago de
Compostela in Spain. He defended his doctoral thesis in the field of fluorescent solar
collectors at the LMU in 2007 and then started the candidacy for becoming patent attorney
at an international law firm in Munich.
Dr. Simon Poxleitner became German patent attorney in 2011 and then
changed from private practice to the industry, where he worked in the whole area of
industrial property protection for a globally active materials manufacturer near Augsburg.
In addition to his expertise in patent and trademark law, Dr. Simon Poxleitner
has expertise in drafting and negotiating of contracts, such as, for example, cooperation
agreements in R&D, licensing agreements and NDAs, which he acquired through his many years
of experience in the industry. On a technical level, Dr. Simon Poxleitner has extensive expertise
in the fields of polymers, pharmaceutical compositions, chemical plant and process technology,
3D printing, textile processing, fiber reinforced composite materials and components thereof for
wind energy, aerospace and automotive applications.
Since 2017 Dr. Simon Poxleitner supports the partnership GROSSE SCHUMACHER KNAUER von
HIRSCHHAUSEN as patent attorney.
